Isolation Portraits Project
The Isolation Portraits Project was born during the 2020 lockdown in my Dublin room.
Inspired by photographers such as Nadia Meli, I decided to grab my camera and devices and conduct online portraits sessions with my friends from all over the world! This helped me to overcome the anxiety surrounding those endless weeks of uncertainty and to help me establish a purpose in mornings, (other than have breakfast!) and most importantly allowed me to get in touch with people I’ve hadn’t spoken to in ages.
The result was a series of photographs and a collection of honest answers to three not-so-easy questions:
– Who are you?
– Which languages do you speak and why?
– What does being alone mean to you?
The project is divided into the 8 blog posts below.
