2018: what a year

2018 is now gone and it was quite a year! My third year in the business was very satisfying, full of new challenges, people and adventures.

In the photo editing field, I had the chance to work with quite a few new photographers, three of them winners of the Fearless Photographers Award, which makes me very proud!

The year of my first trip to the US marks as well my first collaboration with an American photographer based in New York… so exciting!

But 2018 was not only about photo editing. I will always remember 2018 for two other great achievements, the collaboration with Conradh na Gaeilge in creating the booklets called Cultúr Club and the design of the Language Explorers activity book for Mother Tongues.
Being part of the Mother Tongues team is actually one of the most interesting opportunities I’ve come across in Ireland. In February 2018 we run the first edition of the Mother Tongues Festival, which I had the pleasure to manage. That’s something you’d call leaving your comfort zone! The preparation for this year edition is already in full swing, and it is gonna be epic.

I’m also delighted to have been featured on a special book called Inspired Migrant Women in Ireland, where I had the opportunity to talk about my experience as an expat living in the Emerald Isle.

That’s all folks! I’ll leave you with my fav photo taken during my trip to the United States in August, in one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited, New York.
